Fairly useful stayer on the Flat and posted best effort since switched to hurdles when fifth of 14 in a 19f maiden here last month. Cheekpieces fitted for first time in this sphere (worn for last 3 wins on the level) and tongue strap also enlisted now upped in trip for this handicap hurdle debut.

Debut winner of Hereford bumper last February and shaped with encouragement when fourth of 8 on hurdles bow there in November. Little impact in 2 subsequent starts, though, and will need to raise his hame now back up in trip for his first run in a handicap.

Winning pointer but little to shout about under Rules so far. Eventually departed after some sketchy jumping in this headgear combinaton pitched into a handicap for the first time at Fakenham last time.

No better than mid-field in a pair of bumpers and has failed to land a blow in 3 qualifying runs in this sphere. Big step forward needed now equipped with a hood and upped in trip for this handicap debut.

Made the frame a few times after venturing down the handicap route last year. Jumping was rather shoddy when last seen at Hereford 6 months ago but resumes for new yard on an attractive mark and he's one to consider.

No sign of ability in 3 bumpers and hasn't fared much better in 4 runs over hurdles in 2023. Makes debut for a shrewd yard here but she's 5 lb wrong at the weights and may need this following 9 months off.

Forecasts

Chatty Chich (11/8), Let It Shine (6/4), Blow Your Horn (15/8), Parliament (4/1), Prairie Diamond (11/2), Fixed Wing (15/2), Etoile Brillante (16/1), Swearer (28/1)

Verdict

This is highly likely to boil down to a head-to-head between BLOW YOUR HORN and Let It Shine. Preference is for the former, who appears to be gradually getting the hang of things in this sphere and he makes plenty of appeal with headgear enlisted off a potentially handy mark now handicapping. Let It Shine has been give a helping hand by the assessor and he will be a big threat if fully tuned-up for this yard debut, while Prairie Diamond is best of the rest.
