Hillsin⁴⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-12| J: James Turner⁽⁷⁾| T: A E Jones| OR: 95

9/2

Remains a maiden following 19 starts over hurdles but, to his credit, he has finished in the money on several occasions, including when returning from a wind op/3-month break on second start for this yard at Exeter (18.5f, good). High on the shortlist.

Form: 03/P362-

Timeforarum¹⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-11| J: Conor Ring| T: B Eckley| OR: 94

12/1

Fair form on first of three outings in bumpers and looked a work-in-progress so far over hurdles. Potentially leniently treated on handicap bow, so can't be ruled out.

Form: 44/777-6

Our Dylan²⁰

Age: 8| Weight: 11-7| J: Ben Godfrey| T: K Woollacott| OR: 90| D

7/2

Showed benefit of a recent run when belatedly shedding maiden tag at Hereford in April and followed up with a bit up his sleeve at Stratford since. Remains well treated on old form and should make a bold bid for the hat-trick.

Form: P5301-1

Secret Sauce^t²²

Age: 4| Weight: 11-2| J: James Best| T: H Dickin| OR: 91

28/1

Fair performer on the Flat in Ireland and best effort over hurdles when runner-up in a Hereford novice in January. However, hasn't managed to build on that since.

Form: 625F7-9

Mr Zee³⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 11-1| J: C J Todd| T: M Blake| OR: 84

10/3

Fair handicapper on the Flat, successful 3 times last year. Left previous hurdling efforts behind when runner-up at Kempton last month and can make his presence felt with another step forward.

Form: 806U2-

Pooch^t¹⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 10-12| J: Bradley Harris⁽³⁾| T: H Dickin| OR: 87

10/1

Left previous Rules form behind when third in a novice at Plumpton last time. Bred to do better still and appeals as an interesting handicap debutant.

Form: 85-43

Zulu^b⁹

Age: 10| Weight: 10-11| J: David Noonan| T: Miss G Haywood| OR: 80

80/1

Again offered little back from a 2-year absence at Exeter in January and no more encouragement over C&D 9 days ago. Hard to make any sort of case for.

Form: 6P9P/P-P

Lion's Vigil¹⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-9| J: Harry Kimber| T: W G M Turner| OR: 78

7/1

Lightly raced for his age and proved he can get competitive from this sort of mark when fourth at Ludlow 17 days ago. Drops back in trip and may not have reached his limit.

Form: 984/7-F4

Wellwillya^p1¹⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 10-5| J: Paul O'Brien| T: Mrs H R J Nelmes| OR: 73

11/2

Poor maiden hurdler who was pulled up in a novice at Hereford last time and arrives with a bit to prove.

Form: 63565-P

Forecasts

Mr Zee (10/3), Our Dylan (7/2), Hillsin (9/2), Wellwillya (11/2), Lion's Vigil (7/1), Culligran (8/1), Pooch (10/1), Timeforarum (12/1), Clongowes (16/1), Secret Sauce (28/1), Zulu (80/1)

OUR DYLAN is in a resurgent mood and remains well handicapped, so he's fancied to land the hat-trick for all that this looks quite competitive for the grade. Mr Zee and Culligran arrive on the back of improved efforts and both merit plenty of respect.
