Won twice on AW/turf last season and posted best effort (in first-time tongue tie) when runner-up at Epsom (8.5f) in September. Shaped as if better for the run after 7 months off when fifth at Brighton (10f) 23 days ago and she's not had many goes at this trip.

Back to winning ways at Thirsk last June and held form well thereafter, ending last season with a solid second at Catterick (12f) when last seen in October. Respected on return operating from same mark.

Dual winner in France. Yet to taste success on these shores but returned to action (on back of a wind op) with a creditable third of 14 in handicap at Windsor (10f, good, 10/1) 38 days ago. Proven at this sort of trip and respected.

Shed maiden tag at Chelmsford (10f) in December and showed benefit of a recent run when winning 7-runner handicap at Kempton (11f) 22 days ago. Possibilities from 2 lb higher back up in trip/returned to turf.

Dual winner at up to 11f for Ralph Beckett in 2023. Creditable midfield effort on return/yard debut at Windsor last month and testing ground may not have been ideal when third at Salisbury (9.9f) latest. Not one to write off from easing mark.

Winner at Sandown (10f) last August but didn't really kick on thereafter. Mark has fallen plenty as a result but typically raced freely on return when fourth of 5 in handicap at Salisbury (9.9f, heavy) 18 days ago. Usual hood again left off here.

Forecasts

Premiere Ligne (5/2), Chips And Rice (7/2), Letaba (9/2), Genesius (11/2), New Dayrell (13/2), Tarbaan (11/1), Mildyjama (12/1)

Verdict

PREMIERE LIGNE has yet to win on these shores but he ran well after 7 months off/following wind surgery when third at Windsor 38 days ago, and with the return to this longer trip in his favour, he looks a big player. Recent Kempton winner Letaba and the returning Genesius are others fancied to be in the shake-up.
