11/10

Progressive over hurdles for Oliver Sherwood and built on his chase debut effort when second to a smart prospect at Ascot (23.8f) in November. Creditable third at Doncaster (3m) a month later and this looks a little less demanding. One to consider.

5/2

Dual point winner who doubled his hurdles tally at Uttoxeter (23.3f) in October and picked up where he left off when runner-up at Plumpton (25f) in April. No reason why he won't make his mark now tackling larger obstacles and interesting if market vibes are positive.

7/2

Successful on second of 2 starts in point bumpers and confirmed previous hurdles promise when making a winning handicap debut at Warwick (21f, soft) 14 months ago. Entitled to have needed first start since at Exeter in February. Chase debut.

11/1

Four-time hurdles winner who put in a good shift from the front when third in a 5-runner Doncaster handicap chase (3m, soft) in March. Subsequent Huntingdon effort (pulled up) was disappointing though and he needs to leave that well behind to figure.

Forecasts

Scrum Diddly (11/10), Broomfields Cave (5/2), Cedar Row (7/2), Stony Man (7/1), Not At Present (11/1)

SCRUM DIDDLY twice ran well in what appeal as stronger contests over fences late last year, and with the possibility of more to come in this sphere on the back of just 3 starts, he earns the vote to come out on top following 5 months off. Broomfields Cave has progressed steadily over hurdles and he's feared now tackling larger obstacles, with Cedar Row another to keep an eye on.
