Runner-up on his only start in points and made an encouraging start under Rules when third at Huntingdon a couple of months ago. That's the best piece of form on offer and he can put his experience to good use in a first-time tongue tie.

£8,000 3-y-o, Elusive Pimpernel gelding. Dam (h104), lightly raced over hurdles, 1¼m winner on Flat, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (stayed 2½m) Cool Baranca. Makes plenty of appeal on paper.

£28,000 buy after finishing runner-up on her sole start in Irish points (Apr 2). Hasn't shown enough under Rules to make him of serious interest here, though.

From a good family but showed next to nothing at Huntingdon couple of months ago. Needs to have benefited greatly for that experience.

Notnowcato mare. Half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Pauls Hill and fairly useful hurdler Starsky. Unplaced sole start in Irish points (Mar 2023).

Stepped up on her debut and shaped better than the result when fourth at Fakenham (made effort out wide) last time. Could take another step forward.

Showed something on debut but failed to back it up at Newbury 5 months ago. Returns with something to prove.

Ran to only a poor level in a valuable, big-field Newbury on debut but may make more of an impact in this less-competitive environment.

Australia filly. Dam (h150) 2m-2½m hurdle winner (stayed 3m), also smart 12.5f/13f winner who stayed 17f on Flat. One to note on debut.
