Lightly raced hurdler who ran creditably at Hexham 55 days ago. Has the physique to make a much better chaser and is worth chancing to make a successful start in this discipline.
Thirteen runs since last win in 2022. 4/1, creditable second of 11 in handicap chase at Kelso (21.6f, soft) 31 days ago, staying on well. On a good mark and should be on the premises.
Fair hurdler who scored at Hexham last summer. Good second back at that course in September but pulled up all three subsequent starts. Returns to chasing.
On a dangerous mark and goes well at this track (won this two years ago), so he's very much one to have in mind after a recent spin over hurdles should have put him spot on for this.
Fair hurdler but just a modest maiden handicap chaser. Only sixth at Kelso a couple of months ago and hard to know if he'll turn up on his game after a break.
Capitalised on a career-low mark to land 17f Sedgefield handicap chase in November. Has generally struggled since, however, so will need the blinkers to perk him up.
Placed in Irish points so, while he only hinted at promise on one of his three outings in novice hurdles, there could be more to come starting out in this sphere for handicap debut.
Hasn't won for quite a while and arrives on the back of a lacklustre display (returning from a year off) over hurdles here. Cheekpieces refitted but has a bit to prove returned to chasing.
Maiden who was badly let down by jumping at Hexham last time. Had been shaping as if in form prior to that, so could get back on track returned to longer trip.

Wal Buck's (2/1), Grand Voyage (7/2), Leitrim Chief (6/1), Limerick Leader (8/1), Sword Of Fate (17/2), Contre Ordre (17/2), Fenna's Loss (10/1), Claret Dabbler (12/1), Imperial Rule (18/1), Fourth Of July (18/1)
WAL BUCK'S is very much built for chasing and ran with credit over hurdles last time, so he's potentially capable of making a winning start over the larger obstacles. Grand Voyage and Leitrim Chief are both solid alternatives.
