Made a winning Rules debut at Stratford in November and has been progressive since, doubling his tally when staying on well for success at this C&D 3 weeks ago. Leading contender with the potential of more still to offer.
Fairly useful winning hurdler in France and placed 3 times since joining his current yard last season. Soon left behind a lesser effort when third of 16 at Kelso (20.9f) a month ago and he can give another good account.
Irish point winner and made a winning Rules debut at Market Rasen (20.5f) last June. Failed to repeat that effort next time, but fared better after 4 months off when third in a Kelso novice (18.1f) in April. However, weakened quickly on his handicap bow 12 days ago.
Shaped encouragingly early in the 2023/24 campaign before a couple of poor efforts. However, he returned to form when third at Ayr (20.4f, had won the corresponding race in 2023) last time. Task is now to back up his latest effort.
Left her first 3 efforts for this yard behind when making all in an Ayr handicap (24.3f) in February. Creditable effort there next time, before not getting home on testing conditions when mid-field at Musselburgh (23.8f) in April. Could bounce back.
Shaped like a stayer when runner-up in a bumper and promise both starts in novice hurdles. Not in the same form on her handicap debut, but soon back on track when third of 6 (Donso Star in second) at this C&D 22 days ago. Enters calculations.
Winning hurdler/chaser in Ireland for Gavin Cromwell but his form went the wrong way in 2022/23. After 11 months off, has fared no better in 2 starts over hurdles for his current yard. Has had a wind op with tongue strap now applied.
Bumper winner and offered something to work on first 2 outings over hurdles in 2023/24. However, his form has gone backwards on his last 3 starts, hanging right throughout at Newcastle in March. Needs to get back on track.
Off the mark at Ayr (21.4f) in March and has continued in good heart since, producing her best effort yet when only narrowly denied at this C&D 22 days ago. Can make her presence felt in her current form.
Gained a seventh course success when showing a good attitude to score over 23.9f in September. However, after a poor run on the Flat she's struggled over hurdles at Musselburgh on her last 2 starts. Bounce back called for at her favourite venue.

WHAT A JOHNNY relished the step up in trip when scoring in good style at this C&D last time and he is taken to follow up with further progress to come. The main danger could be Donso Star, who has also been going the right way of late, ahead of the lightly-raced St John's Road.
- Donso Star11/2
- St John's Road13/2
