Fairly useful 1m handicapper on Flat for John Gallagher. Showed definite aptitude for hurdling on 2 of his 3 starts in novice company during second half of last year and possibilities on return from a break.

Montmartre gelding. Dam fairly useful staying chaser in France. Runner-up both starts in Irish points in spring 2023 but got no further than the first (had took strong hold) on hurdles debut at Uttoxeter (15.8f) 8 days ago.
Manatee gelding. Green and went with little promise on hurdles bow at Chepstow (2m) in January but more like it when third in juvenile maiden at Fakenham (2m) 6 weeks ago, staying on straight. One to consider with the likelihood of more to come.
Well held only start in bumpers and possibly one for handicaps in this sphere judged on pair of exploits in recent months.
Fairly useful handicapper on Flat who bagged pair of 2m handicaps on AW last summer. Shaped as if amiss on final start at York in September and since sold from Ralph Beckett for only 5,500 gns in November. Market should guide now hurdling. Tongue strap on 1st time/had wind op.
4-y-o who failed to pull up any trees in handicaps on the level at up to 14f. However, represents a yard no stranger to success in this sphere and market confidence behind him would need to be viewed positively.
Well held all 3 starts in bumpers and he fared no better starting out over hurdles at Stratford recently, jumping none too fluently. Passed over here with a first-time hood now fitted.
Fair Flat winner, making GB/IRE jumps debut. Seventh of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (10f, AW, 9/1) 34 days ago. Likely best watched now attentions switch to timber.

Forecasts
Global Esteem (13/8), Alain (5/2), Illegal D'ainay (7/2), Solution (9/1), Pooch (18/1), Shalfa (18/1), Truth Will Out (20/1), Darcy's Glance (100/1)
GLOBAL ESTEEM still needs to conclusively prove his stamina for hurdling, yet he did show a definite aptitude for the job on 2 of his 3 starts late last year and could just be the way to go back from a break. Alain and hurdle-debutants Truth Will Out and Solution are others to consider.
