Virgin Bet Fives Open Maiden NH Flat Race (GBB Race) (Div 1)

Off time: 16:30 | Winning time: 3m 40.40s

Berliath⁷⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Harry Cobden| T: P F Nicholls

8/1

£65,000 Clovis Du Berlais gelding. Half-brother to 4 winners, including fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser On The Slopes. Easy to back, already had a breathing operation and looked badly in need of the experience on debut at Taunton 10 weeks ago. Could prove a different proposition this time.

Form: 3-

Forecasts

Octo Gane (6/4), The Long Point (3/1), John Barbour (9/2), Step Ahead (11/2), Sayva (7/1), Dawn Parade (15/2), Berliath (8/1), My Boy Aaron (18/1), Kilos Kelos (33/1), Midnight Sting (40/1), Lynda's Pet (50/1)

BERLIATH may leave his Taunton form behind and could be the way to go. Dawn Parade and Step Ahead are a couple of the interesting newcomers.
