Little impact in various race-types for James Ewart and can only be watched on the back of a monster absence.

Half-brother to useful hurdler/fairly useful chaser Gates of Rome and fairly useful hurdler/chaser Cooldine Bog. Successful sole start between the flags in November and very much one to note on Rules debut.

Out of a fairly useful jumper and shaped with plenty of promise when second in Market Rasen bumper on debut last spring. However, he hasn't shown much in a couple of runs over hurdles.

Fair maiden on the Flat and, having changed hands for 9,500 gns in September, he was a well-held second in a 5-runner affair (only 3 completed) on hurdles debut at Huntingdon (15.8f, good). Undergone a wind op since and now tried in a tongue strap.

Fairly useful handicapper on the Flat for Heather Main, successful at Kempton (1½m) when last seen in January (sold for 32,000 gns the following month). Stamina won't be a problem now switched to hurdles (effective at up to 2m on the level) and he has to be of interest on debut for the Skelton team.

Got off the mark in Irish points at second attempt and runner-up on 2 of his 4 subsequent starts in this sphere, including when returning from a break in a big-field Market Rasen maiden (20.6f, good to soft) last month. Should make a bold bid, provided this drop in trip doesn't count against him.

Half-brother to 3 winners, including fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser East Street and fair chaser Armattiekan. Runner-up on the latest of his 4 starts between the flags back in May 2022 but sent off at 200/1 and suffered a heavy defeat on Rules debut in December.

From a family connections know well and she showed plenty on debut in a bumper here last spring. However, she hasn't gone on from that since and was well beaten on hurdles debut in November.

Showed some ability when fourth in Chepstow bumper last March but ran poorly on return at the same course in January. Subsequently pulled up on hurdles bow at Huntingdon and she's readily passed over.

Half-sister to 3 winners, including fairly useful French 2m/2¼m hurdle winner Lake's Maker. Showed some ability when fourth of 13 on debut in a Hereford bumper (16.2f, soft) in March but failed to build on that next time and sizeable step forward needed now switched to hurdles.

Forecasts

Mostly Sunny (8/11), New Order (7/4), Eaton Anne (13/2), Hiero Sport (28/1), Aquitaine Boy (40/1), Darting Rose (40/1), Jean Danjou (66/1), Real Rewards (66/1), Lake's Aventurine (80/1), Lady Harriett (80/1), Conniegetaway (150/1)

Verdict

Olly Murphy has his string in good order and saddles an appealing type here in EATON ANNE, who landed a maiden point towards the end of last year and it will look significant if the market speaks in his favour ahead of this Rules debut. New Order is much the best of those with experience over hurdles and will be a big threat if coping with this drop in trip, while Mostly Sunny, a three-time winner on the Flat, has to enter calculations on debut in this sphere for the Dan Skelton yard.
