€30,000 3-y-o, Masterstroke gelding. Dam maiden on Flat in France. Won all 3 starts in points since leaving Ireland, latest in April 2023 but sent off a big price and no impact on February's hurdles debut. Cheekpieces added.

£80,000 point recruit who was fourth in a bumper a year ago. Off 11 months (had a breathing op) and fitted with a tongue tie, he shaped with promise when occupying same spot on hurdles debut at Newbury. Open to progress.

From a good family and belied huge odds to make a winning start in a Lingfield bumper in November. Moved yards after and in nothing like the same form back at that venue 2 months later. Hurdles debut.

Fairly useful Flat winner for Ralph Beckett but fitted with a tongue tie, he went with little short-term promise on hurdles debut in January. Drying ground may help him.

Fairly useful handicapper on Flat, stays 1½m, creditable effort last time. Sold from Richard Fahey for 215,000 gns later in October and while he failed to land the odds on hurdles debut in February, he'll surely show a lot more this time.

Fairly useful on the Flat (seemingly stays 1¼m) for David O'Meara but never involved at long odds sent hurdling in a hood over C&D.

Cracksman half-brother to smart hurdler Navajo Pass (2m-2½m winner). Fair maiden on Flat (stays 1¼m) for Richard Hannon who was given a considerate introduction to hurdling when a well-held third over C&D. Showed benefit of that when second at Taunton and he's a big player.

Displayed a little ability on the level for John S. O'Donoghue but beaten a long way both hurdles starts.

Forecasts

Golden Move (11/10), I'm Ravenous (3/1), Manuelito (7/2), The Northernlights (8/1), Baltic Voyage (14/1), Al Sayah (66/1), Kentucky Bluegrass (66/1), Ask Her Out (80/1), Gouazec (125/1)

Verdict

GOLDEN MOVE failed to land the odds on hurdles debut following his big-money purchase from Richard Fahey but he's surely going to build on that and is up to winning a maiden hurdle such as this. Manuelito is the obvious threat, though I'm Ravenous showed enough on his return to action to make him of interest.
