Giddy Up⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Sean Houlihan| T: M Hunt

Form: 0

Johnny Blue⁸²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: James Bowen| T: N J Henderson

1/6

Fairly useful bumper winner who chased home a useful type on hurdling debut at Hereford before struggling at Fontwell 12 weeks ago (untidy 2 out and folded). Yard going much better now and worth another chance down in trip in a thin maiden.

Form: 126

Saint Cyr De Pail³¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: David Noonan| T: Mrs J Williams

7/1

£28,000 buy from good French NH family. 11/1, down the field on hurdles debut over 21.6f here last month, green and likely to learn from the experience.

Form: 6

Tiger Blade¹²²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Dylan Johnston⁽⁵⁾| T: H Brown

50/1

Showed just modest form in a pair of bumpers for Tom Weston last spring and has been soundly beaten all 3 starts over hurdles for current connections.

Form: 6-6506

Bathgate³⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 10-10| J: Lewis Stones⁽³⁾| T: T H Weston

7/1

Offered little in a pair of bumpers but fared much better sent hurdling after 9 weeks off at Huntingdon (2m) 5 weeks ago. Needs to build on that.

Form: 784

Forecasts

Johnny Blue (1/6), Dunbulcan Bay (10/3), Saint Cyr De Pail (7/1), Bathgate (7/1), Lost In The Mist (10/1), Wild Grouse (14/1), Reely Delightful (25/1), Tiger Blade (50/1), Giddy Up (100/1)

Not a maiden that will take much winning and JOHNNY BLUE has to be worth another chance with his yard going much better now. Dunbulcan Bay could be the danger starting out over hurdles for Dan Skelton, although Wild Grouse is also interesting on drier ground/fitted with tongue tie after a breathing operation having shaped with promise in a couple of runs in the autumn.
