(6)

Covert Mission^t⁵⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 9-9| J: Benoit D L Sayette| T: K P De Foy| OR: 65| D

7/1

9/2, fourth of 9 in handicap at Kempton (8f) 58 days ago. Clearly more of a force on synthetics than turf but he's a live each-way candidate all the same.

Form: 136-704

(4)

Darvel^b¹⁷⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 9-9| J: Charles Bishop| T: P R Chamings| OR: 65| D

13/2

Ninth of 14 in handicap (10/1) at Windsor (8.1f, heavy) when last seen in October. Runner-up here on penultimate start and he could have a part to play if ready to roll.

Form: 569329-

(11)

Soi Dao³⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 9-8| J: Gina Mangan⁽³⁾| T: A Wintle| OR: 64

9/1

Latest win at Wolverhampton in January. Seventh of 9 in handicap at the same course (8.6f, 16/1) 34 days ago. Others preferred.

Form: 94-1267

(10)

Angelica K⁴⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-6| J: William Carver⁽³⁾| T: S Hodgson| OR: 62

40/1

Thrice-raced maiden. 50/1, tenth of 12 in maiden at Kempton (12f) 44 days ago. Significantly down in trip for this handicap debut and improvement needed.

Form: 360

(12)

Kimifive⁶⁰

Age: 9| Weight: 9-5| J: Cieren Fallon| T: Mrs S Gardner| OR: 61

14/1

125/1, last of 12 in handicap at Lingfield (10f, AW) 60 days ago, doing too much too soon. Readily passed over.

Form: 906-070

(7)

King Of Speed^t²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 9-3| J: Billy Loughnane| T: D M Loughnane| OR: 59

7/2

Latest win at Wolverhampton in February. 10/3, respectable second of 11 in handicap at that course (8.6f) 20 days ago, no match for winner. Expected to be bang there.

Form: 531222

(8)

Dolores Abernathy⁵⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 9-3| J: Laura Pearson| T: D Loughnane| OR: 59

28/1

Lightly-raced maiden. 16/1, tenth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 56 days ago. Best to look elsewhere.

Form: 54-570

(2)

Lilandra^p²¹⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 9-2| J: Callum Hutchinson⁽³⁾| T: J L Flint| OR: 58| CD

28/1

Notched third C&D success when taking an 8-runner handicap (good, 7/2) on final run of last season. Resumes on a 6 lb higher mark but will be a threat if fit enough to do herself justice.

Form: 441221-

(1)

Racing Demon²²

Age: 4| Weight: 9-1| J: Liam Wright⁽⁷⁾| T: E De Giles| OR: 57| D

18/5

Seventh of 8 in handicap (12/1) at Southwell (8.1f) 22 days ago, very slowly away. Third of 14 over this C&D off 5 lb higher in October and he's therefore dangerous to discount.

Form: 72238-7

(3)

Golden Phase^p¹⁵³

Age: 4| Weight: 8-13| J: George Bass⁽³⁾| T: D J Coakley| OR: 55| CD

9/2

C&D winner. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, good second of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (8f, AW, 15/2) on latest start in November, caught further back than ideal. Headgear retained and she can be expected to make a bold bid to go one better here.

Form: 012322-

(13)

Mayz¹⁶⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 8-10| J: Darragh Keenan| T: J Gallagher| OR: 52| D

33/1

Winner at Windsor in October. 6/1, below form seventh of 15 in handicap at Newmarket (8f, soft). Off 168 days and she's likely to find a few of these too good.

Form: 885017-

(5)

Sao Timothy^h³¹

Age: 4| Weight: 8-5| J: A J Farragher| T: R Stephens| OR: 47

50/1

Ninth of 11 in handicap (10/1) at Wolverhampton (12.2f) 31 days ago, folding. Significantly down in trip and this 12-race maiden is hard to warm to.

Form: 5-77299

Forecasts

King Of Speed (7/2), Racing Demon (18/5), Golden Phase (9/2), Darvel (13/2), Covert Mission (7/1), Soi Dao (9/1), Kimifive (14/1), Vellner (16/1), Dolores Abernathy (28/1), Lilandra (28/1), Mayz (33/1), Angelica K (40/1), Sao Timothy (50/1)

KING OF SPEED has finished runner-up all three starts since his latest success at Wolverhampton in February and, with conditions no problem back on turf, this consistent 5-y-o is taken to get his head back in front. Golden Phase is another consistent type and she will be a major player if raring to go back from a break here, while Racing Demon has dipped to a dangerous mark and also enters calculations, along with Covert Mission and Lilandra.
