10/3
Low-mileage 7-y-o who has made a good start for this yard, building on Ascot handicap debut third when scoring over C&D in January. Not disgraced at Sandown next time and unable to get competitive at Uttoxeter (23.3f, heavy) las month. Down in class and looks to hold leading claims.

Finally off the mark in a 4-runner handicap hurdle at Taunton (23.9f, good to soft) in December, able to get away with a typically sloppy round of jumping in such a small field. Not in same form on both subsequent starts since, however. Blinkers replace the usual cheekpieces.

Revitalised lately, landing a double at Exeter in the mud. Not in remotely the same form in this more competitive affair at Uttoxeter (23.3f, heavy) 29 days ago but should find this assignment easier.

Relatively unexposed over staying trips and returned with good second at Exeter only to be pulled up at Wincanton next time. Seemed unsuited by the relative emphasis on speed at the trip at Market Rasen (23.1f, soft) in February and not out of things from a reduced mark.

7/1
Bumper winner for Jack Barber who has been steadily progressive over hurdles for Anthony Honeyball, winning pair of 25.5f handicaps at Hereford this season. Another 7 lb higher now bidding for the hat-trick but still respected returning from 4 months off.

33/1
Irish point/dual hurdles winner who made it third time lucky over fences at Bangor (20.3f) last February. Disappointing since (pulled up last 3 starts), so can only be watched despite her tumbling mark.

14/1
Point winner who justified support when opening his account under Rules in handicap hurdle at Southwell in June. Proved better than ever in recording a second win upped markedly in grade at Uttoxeter (23.3f, good to soft) in October and can figure provided he's ready to roll.

Came good for this yard with a wide-margin C&D (soft) success in February and having failed to figure under a penalty at Lingfield 10 days later, resumed winning ways over C&D (soft) last month, proving better than ever. Handicapper had a swing with 8 lb but he's respected.

Bagged his second hurdles success at Stratford in August. Largely below form since and earnt himself a squiggle with a lacklustre display over C&D (soft) 3 months ago. Best watched.

Two C&D wins this spring and ran creditably in a deeper race when third of 10 in handicap at Newbury (24.2f, good to soft) last month. Plenty to like back at this venue.

Third handicap win of the season when seeing off 6 rivals at Fakenham (3m, soft) last month. Not up to a listed mares' race at Doncaster since but wasted no time getting back on track returned to calmer waters when runner-up at Huntingdon (25f, good to soft) last month.

Forecasts

Transmission (10/3), For Gina (4/1), Norton Hill (7/1), I'm A Starman (15/2), San Pedro (15/2), Royal Pretender (11/1), Striking A Pose (12/1), Broomfields Cave (14/1), Jatiluwih (14/1), Moka De Vassy (20/1), Hunting Percival (22/1), Fable (33/1)

Verdict

An open-looking staying handicap with TRANSMISSION selected to come out on top back down in grade. Neil Mulholland's low-mileage 7-y-o was successful on his sole visit to this track in January and he can get the better of Norton Hill, who has been steadily progressive since joining his current yard and arrives chasing a hat-trick. San Pedro arrives in form so he can edge out For Gina for the bronze medal.
