Fair hurdler for Stuart Crawford and, after 18 months off, showed that he retains plenty of ability when third in a Sedgefield maiden in October. Has been disappointing since, though, running no sort of race in first-time cheekpieces at Huntingdon 18 days ago. Blinkers now the choice of headgear.

Looked all set to record a big-priced debut win under Rules only to career off the course late on at Worcester last summer. Disappointed at Cheltenham 6 months later but shaped better than the distance beaten suggests when third at this course (20.4f) last time.
Placed in a pair of bumpers earlier this term and made a promising start over hurdles when second of 12 in a Wincanton maiden (15.2f, heavy). In the process of running creditably when falling heavily 2 out at Carlisle subsequently. Sets the standard.
Easy winner of sole start in Irish points. Showed promise on his only outing in bumpers for Michael Scudamore and did the same under a considerate ride when fourth on his hurdling debut at Doncaster (16.6f). Open to improvement but it'll likely be handicaps over further when he's of most interest.
Showed a bit when third in his sole outing in bumpers but made an inauspicious start over hurdles at Hereford 26 days ago.
Irish point winner but has been pulled up both starts over hurdles.
Well beaten in bumpers and fared no better sent hurdling at Taunton last week.
Ran to modest level both starts in bumpers and was given a considerate introduction to hurdling when fourth of 7 at Wincanton (2m5f). However, went backwards when well held at Plumpton subsequently and has since had a breathing operation.

Forecasts
Highlands Legacy (2/5), Ascension Day (11/2), Montys Soldier (6/1), Musique De Fee (12/1), Arlo (16/1), Moor End (33/1), Moves Like Monty (66/1), Telenn D'annain (250/1)
HIGHLANDS LEGACY sets a clear standard so he's a straightforward choice to get off the mark in a weak maiden. Ascension Day is preferred to Montys Soldier for forecast purposes.
