Peter Pan Flying Saturday 6th July! Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)

Off time: 15:20 | Winning time: 5m 10.43s

Diamond Koda²⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: Charlie Hammond| T: N Kent

9/4

Fairly useful form when narrowly beaten in bumpers (twice here) and found only an experienced one too good making hurdling bow over a longer trip after 12 weeks off at Doncaster, staying on for second. Should improve and can go well in a thin maiden.

Form: 2222

Lord Warburton²²⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 11-7| J: Tom Midgley⁽³⁾| T: M E Sowersby

200/1

Modest at best on Flat (stays 1½m), well held both starts in 2023 following lengthy absence and sold from Mark Campion £3,000 in January. Hard to fancy.

Form:

Nothinelsematters²⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Kielan Woods| T: A M Hales

150/1

Finished fourth in a point but no show in novice/maiden hurdles.

Form: F-P47PP

Pottersjetamay⁸¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-7| J: J M Quinlan| T: C E Longsdon

33/1

Well held in bumpers and work to do upped in trip for hurdles debut.

Form: 6-00

Pyffo⁶³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.| T: J & A O'Neill| OR: 114| BF

9/4

Useful bumper winner but he's not really kicked on over hurdles, failing to improve upped to extended 3m for his handicap debut after 11 weeks off at Doncaster, again said to have been showing moderate signs of post-race ataxia. Questions to answer.

Form: 21-3248

Taras Halls^p1²²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Nick Scholfield| T: J Parkinson & S Smith| OR: 116

15/8

Bumper winner for Lucy Wadham and runner-up twice over hurdles around this trip for new yard in January (good form). Well held in the EBF Novices' Handicap Final at Sandown 3 weeks ago but this is a lot easier in first-time cheekpieces.

Form: 0-F7220

Teetotaller^t1¹¹²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Liam Harrison| T: F O'Brien

6/1

£16,000 3-y-o, brother to fairly useful hurdler/useful chaser Blackjack Magic (19f-25f winner) and fair hurdler Passam (3m winner). Off mark in points at second attempt (Dec 2023). Wears tongue tie. Not overfaced on debut and worth a look.

Forecasts

Taras Halls (15/8), Pyffo (9/4), Diamond Koda (9/4), Teetotaller (6/1), Scotch On Da Rocks (10/1), Pottersjetamay (33/1), Nothinelsematters (150/1), Lord Warburton (200/1)

TARAS HALLS's two seconds over this trip in novice/maiden hurdles read well and this looks a good opportunity having contested the EBF Novices' Handicap Final at Sandown 3 weeks ago. Diamond Koda made a good start in this sphere at Doncaster and should go well. Teetotaller is an interesting newcomer.
