Successful at Wincanton and Southwell last spring and returned with a pair of good runner-up efforts at Kempton in the autumn. Looks like he's been saved for another spring campaign. Should go well.

Improved for switch to chasing last season, landing handicaps at Kempton/Newbury. Just one good effort this term but it came over C&D (good to soft) and he should find this easier than the Grand Annual at last week's Cheltenham Festival. Back on a good mark.

Has been reliable in handicap chases this winter, gaining reward for that consistency in a small-field race over 2½m at Newbury 23 days ago. Fine at this trip and a 4 lb nudge is unlikely to prevent another prominent showing.

Recorded back-to-back chase victories last spring and plenty of good efforts in defeat have followed. Latest remote third of 4 at Taunton (2¾m) wasn't one of them (raced too freely) but she might fare better back down in trip with a hood added.

Consistent chaser but he turned in a rare poor effort when pulled up in handicap chase at Doncaster (2m, good to soft) in December. Freshened up since and handily weighted if back on song.

Forecasts

Frere d'Armes (15/8), Martator (11/4), Thelasthighking (3/1), Coastguard Station (17/2), Walk In Clover (9/1), Sacre Coeur (10/1)

Verdict

Although FRERE D'ARMES was pulled up in the Grand Annual at last week's Cheltenham Festival he's the mount of Harry Skelton from his yard's 2 runners here and might be able to stage a revival in this easier race and back on a sounder surface. Recent Newbury winner Martator is second choice ahead of Thelasthighking.
