Achieved a useful level of form over hurdles and off the mark at the second attempt in this sphere at Ascot (16.7f, good) in December, albeit he was arguably a fortunate winner there (left in the lead 2 out). Ran poorly next time and stable form has to be a major concern.
Winner of 8 of his 12 starts in handicap hurdles and likely he would've made a successful start in this sphere had he not unseated 2 out at Warwick in November. Struggled in a couple of Grade 2 events at this course since but he has to be taken seriously back in handicap company.
Progressive 6-y-o who has made a fine start over fences, landing back-to-back handicaps at around 2m at Newbury in December/January. Up a total of 16 lb but remains open to progress in this sphere and moving back up in trip here is unlikely to be an issue.
Point/bumper winner who won 3 of his 6 starts over hurdles last season. Sound start when hitting frame first 2 starts over fences but has completely misfired the last twice (reportedly bled on both occasions) and he now has a bit to prove.
Won twice over hurdles last season and opened chase account at the fourth attempt at Musselburgh (15.8f, good to soft). 4 lb rise fair and while this is more demanding, he has to enter calculations.

Forecasts
Soul Icon (2/1), Issar D'Airy (11/4), Beau Balko (10/3), Persian Time (5/1), Western Zephyr (15/2)
ISSAR D'AIRY has made a seamless transition to the larger obstacles and, with the promise of better to come from this 6-y-o, he is taken to make it 3-3 in this sphere. Soul Icon is likely to emerge as the main danger now back down in class, while Beau Balko merits respect on the back of his Musselburgh success.
