Lightly-raced sort who won over hurdles for Christian Williams and made a successful chase debut for new trainer Venetia Williams at Bangor (3m, heavy) last week. Had something in hand and a 7 lb penalty may not stop him.

Much improved this season after a breathing operation, completing a handicap chase hat-trick in November/December. However, he was weakening in third when falling 2 out at Wincanton last time, suggesting the handicapper might have caught up with him.

Won a bumper on Rules debut but has drawn a blank since, finishing a remote fourth on his C&D yard debut at the end of January. Can only be watched after that.

Well held in bumper/over hurdles but he has plenty of size and offered encouragement switched to fences when second in 3m Southwell handicap 19 days ago. Should have more to come in this sphere.
