Westexe Forklifts Ltd Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Very smart hurdler in his pomp but struggling to recapture his best form this term. Didn't convince in pair of chase starts last winter but does now go handicapping in this sphere from a much lower mark. Cheekpieces replace blinkers.

Fairly useful hurdles winner who has run to a similar level in trio of starts over fences this winter, not looking well served by further drop back in trip when runner-up at Sandown (15.5f) 6 weeks ago in first-time cheekpieces. Consistent performer on the whole and this is more suitable. Respected.

Justified good support when staying on well to score over fences at Chepstow (2m, heavy) in December. Performed well to finish runner-up over fences/hurdles both starts since and no reason why he won't give another good account with forecast conditions right up his street.

Fairly useful hurdler who left chase debut form well behind when second in mares' listed event here in November and made most of good opportunity to land C&D mares' novice a month later. Not herself at Huntingdon since but on a potentially handy mark now handicapping. Leading claims.
