Wide-margin winner on his sole outing in points and looked a useful prospect sent hurdling when making all at Ayr (21.4f) in December 2022. Shaped as if retaining ability in face of stiff task when behind Giovinco on return/chase debut at Newcastle 3 weeks ago and he could build on that now.

Dual hurdles winner who produced a performance akin to his best in that sphere when ending losing run over fences at Gowran (20f, heavy) 3 weeks ago, asserting run-in. Comes here operating from 11 lb higher mark but respected nevertheless under Brian Hughes.

Progressive over hurdles for Dan Skelton and belatedly confirmed early chase promise for present yard when running out a dominant winner of 9-runner Doncaster handicap (19f, heavy) 2 weeks back. Cheekpieces worn then retained and respected despite 10 lb hike in weights.

Bumper winner who displayed fair form over fences in France last year, in frame in 4-y-o events at Moulins and Auteuil at around 2¾m. Joined yard that do well with new recruits and interesting if the market speaks in his favour with cheekpieces refitted.

Winning hurdler who added a second chase victory to his tally at this course (20f) 17 days ago, able to dictate but getting the job done in determined fashion. Up just 1 lb for that so no reason why he won't make his presence felt again.

Runner-up completed start in Irish points and best effort over hurdles when fourth in a Newcastle novice (16.9f, heavy) in January. Couldn't build on that for switch to handicaps on chase debut back there last month though and others make greater appeal.

Forecasts

Hello Judge (2/1), William Of York (10/3), Teescomponentsyess (9/2), Choosethenews (11/2), Jacks Parrot (6/1), Poetry Man (20/1)

Verdict

TEESCOMPONENTSYESS has been hit with an 11 lb rise for his chase victory at Gowran 3 weeks ago, yet he got the job done pretty comfortably and, with conditions in his favour, Shark Hanlon's charge looks a live player once more. Ex-French recruit Jacks Parrot is interesting on debut for a yard boasting an excellent strike rate in this sphere and along with Doncaster scorer William of York, heads up the dangers.
