Fairly useful hurdles winner who has reached a similar level without tasting success over fences, back to best when second in 5-runner event here (20f) in December. Possibly not over those exertions at Wetherby since. Change of headgear.

Bumper debut winner who showed fair form without getting his head in front over hurdles. However, he improved when making a winning chase debut at Sedgefield (21f) and backed that up when third in better race at Exeter. Player back down in class.

Forecasts

Hauraki Gulf (6/4), No Tackle (13/8), Here Comes McCoy (2/1), Lord Of Kerak (5/2), Everything'sontick (4/1), Poker Master (20/1)

Verdict

HERE COMES MCCOY was a most decisive winner on his second start over fences at Uttoxeter last month so is taken to defy an 8 lb rise. Hauraki Gulf rates the biggest threat back down in class ahead of No Tackle, who scored over C&D 5 weeks ago.
