Celtic Sea⁸¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: Conor Ring⁽³⁾| T: Evan Williams

7/2

Seemingly unfancied at 33/1 but made a promising start to his career when second of 12 in Ludlow bumper in December. Sets a fair standard for the rest to aim at.

Form: 2

Kally Des Bruyeres

Age: 4| Weight: 10-4| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: David Dennis

16/1

£26,000Cokoriko gelding. Dam French hurdler/chaser (17f-2½m winner). His stable is 0-26 in bumpers in the last 5 seasons. Best watched unless the betting strongly hints otherwise.

Form:

Ocean Walz

Age: 4| Weight: 10-4| J: Benjamin Poste| T: T Symonds

10/1

Walzertakt gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/smart chaser Sizing Pottsie and fair hurdler/fairly useful chaser in France Line Brazil. Makes some paper appeal for a yard which gets the odd bumper winner.

Form:

Twin Earth

Age: 4| Weight: 10-4| J: Nick Scholfield| T: A Watson

13/2

12,000 gns Teofilo gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners on Flat, including useful 8.3f-1½m winner Khione. Good Flat stable only 4-30 in bumpers in the last 5 seasons but a market move would make him of interest.

Form:

We're Red And Blue

Age: 4| Weight: 10-4| J: R P McLernon| T: J & A O'Neill

8/11

€87,000 Blue Bresil gelding. Dam, fair 2m hurdle winner, sister to useful chase winner (stayed 2½m) Sammy Bill. In-form trainer gets plenty of bumper winners. A much respected newcomer.

Form:

Laddie Cooper Mia

Age: 4| Weight: 10-2| J: David Noonan| T: N J Hawke

33/1

Diamond Boy filly. Dam (h95), bumper winner, sister to smart hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 2½m) Raya Star and useful hurdler/chaser (stays 2¾m) Jay Jay Reilly. Bred to have a future but her yard is only 1-44 in bumpers in the last 5 seasons.

Forecasts

We're Red And Blue (8/11), Celtic Sea (7/2), Twin Earth (13/2), Ocean Walz (10/1), Kally Des Bruyeres (16/1), Laddie Cooper Mia (33/1)

CELTIC SEA is the percentage call on the back of his promising debut second at Ludlow in December, although a strong market move for newcomers We're Red And Blue and/or Twin Earth would put a slightly different slant on things.
