The Lion Dancer^b⁷³

Age: 12| Weight: 12-0| J: Harriet Tucker⁽⁷⁾| T: A M Hales| OR: 100| D

12/1

Four-time winner over fences for Charlie Mann who produced his best effort for some time when making a winning return from 9 months off at Uttoxeter (3m, heavy) on sole start last season. However, reverted to looking a tricky ride back from another absence at Market Rasen in December.

Form: 523P/1-P

Spotty Dog²¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-7| J: Harry Reed| T: M Hawker| OR: 93| D

22/1

Dual winner over fences at Huntingdon at the start of 2023 but has pulled up on both outings this term. Back on a successful mark but not obviously in the form to capitalise.

Form: P186-PP

Ya Know Yaseff^b,t³⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 10-11| J: Jack Tudor| T: D Pipe| OR: 83| BF| D

13/2

Improved fitted with blinkers, winning handicap chases at Worcester/Newton Abbot (at up to 25.8f) in September. Mixed bag since, however, taking little interest from the off at Hereford last time.

Form: 14242P

Wonder Of The Seas^p1,t³⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 10-10| J: Sam Twiston-Davies| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR: 82

10/3

Well held in bumper/over hurdles but has the size for chasing. Interesting in thin handicap with cheekpieces tried.

Form: 684-00

William Ewart^t⁶¹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-9| J: Nick Scholfield| T: Christian Williams| OR: 81

7/4

Form patchy since his convincing victory over hurdles at Bangor (23f, soft) in March, but suspect he may yet do better over fences now back up in trip off a good mark.

Form: 12-8423

The Electrician^b1⁴⁸

Age: 8| Weight: 10-6| J: Aaron Anderson⁽⁵⁾| T: M E Sowersby| OR: 78

9/1

Dual winner over shorter last season but efforts for current yard have lacked spark. Stronger headgear tried.

Form: 5743P6

Bignorm^p¹⁶

Age: 12| Weight: 10-2| J: Benjamin Poste| T: Mrs R Gasson| OR: 72

4/1

Is a long time without a win and hasn't been firing this season.

Forecasts

William Ewart (7/4), Supasunrise (15/8), Wonder Of The Seas (10/3), Bignorm (4/1), Mackie Dee (6/1), Ya Know Yaseff (13/2), The Electrician (9/1), The Lion Dancer (12/1), Spotty Dog (22/1)

WILLIAM EWART remains with potential now back up in trip over fences and might be the way to go. Wonder of The Seas could do better now chasing and is an interesting alternative in a thin contest.
