Justified strong support when making a winning handicap debut over hurdles at Hexham in November. Good second at Southwell (15.8f, soft) last time and will be a threat off the same mark on this chase debut if his jumping passes the test.
Runner-up completed start in Irish points and stepped up on previous hurdles efforts when fourth of 14 in a 17f novice here (heavy) last month, albeit he again failed to keep straight off the bridle. More needed now switched to fences.
Hit the ground running back from 9 months off when landing 5-runner Fakenham handicap (16.3f, good to soft) in November. Has followed that with solid efforts in defeat at Lingfield and Ffos Las, and this 11-y-o looks set for another bold show.
Boasts a decent jumps pedigree and showed a bit more at the third attempt over hurdles when fifth in a 14-runner novice here. Very much a chasing type on looks and it'll be interesting to see how he shapes up in the betting now tackling the larger obstacles.
More miss than hit over hurdles in Ireland and departed early on chase debut at Catterick last month. Put in a clear round at the same course (19.2f, soft) next time and each-way chance down in trip here if the first-time hood helps eke out a bit more.
Several decent efforts to his name over hurdles, not least when finding just one too strong off this mark on penultimate start here. However, record stands at 0-11 in that sphere following a low-key effort last time and needs to raise his game now switched to fences.
Capitalised on a career-low mark to land 17f Sedgefield handicap chase in November. Not in the same form since, though, running poorly over C&D last time, and he's essentially opposable.
Made winning start for this yard at Hexham in November 2021 but little impact in 3 subsequent starts and entitled to need the run following a 2-year absence,
Placed on a couple of occasions over hurdles and has shown ability in 3 starts since sent chasing, despite carrying his head awkwardly. No surprise to see more severe headgear enlisted (visor replaces cheekpieces) and he's one to consider with Brian Hughes booked.
Runner-up 4 times over hurdles and found one too good on fourth attempt in this sphere when chasing home Six One Nine over C&D (heavy) recently. Not without each-way hope.

Forecasts
Take Centre Stage (3/1), Ingennio (9/2), Fathers Advice (5/1), Templier (6/1), Lord Denning (6/1), Hostile Hotelier (15/2), Poetry Man (16/1), Master Breffni (20/1), Contre Ordre (22/1), Rollerruler (50/1)
The veteran TEMPLIER has done little wrong in three starts so far this season, most recently finishing second off this mark at Ffos Las a fortnight ago, and he looks the most solid option. Hostile Hotelier could be a factor on his debut in this sphere, while Take Centre Stage and fellow chase debutant Lord Denning are also worth a second look.
- Templier6/1
- Hostile Hotelier15/2
