Took advantage of drop in weights/equipped with cheekpieces when landing 2½m Warwick handicap chase 12 months ago. Seen only twice since, and likely he'll be sharper for last month's reappearance hurdle run at Taunton. Headgear returns now and better expected.
Four-time winner over hurdles who also landed a Fontwell chase (in first-time cheekpieces) 12 months ago. Ran creditably on return/following wind op when third over hurdles at Exeter in December prior to finishing well held in last month's Lanzarote Hurdle. This more suitable back over fences.
Hurdles/chase scorer who bounced right back to best following 8 months off when second over fences at Chepstow (19.5f) in October. Respectable third in race that has thrown up winners at Taunton 55 days ago and he's certainly not out of things.
Useful at his best over hurdles and took advantage of an easing mark to authoritatively open his chase account over C&D 33 days ago, forging clear from 2 out. Yard continue in good order and respected from 6 lb higher mark.
Brother to very smart hurdler/high-class chaser Sceau Royal who reached a fairly useful level over fences in France, running up to best when runner-up at Compeigne (17.2f) back in summer 2021. Absent since but his yard a dab hand with horses returning from lengthy lay-offs. Market should guide.

Forecasts
Ballybegg (1/1), Can You Call (4/1), Galahad Quest (9/2), Demnat (15/2), Quinta Do Mar (9/1), Reve (20/1)
BALLYBEGG boasted a patchy record over hurdles but he's stepped up with each start since returning to chasing this winter, opening his account in good style when taking a 6-runner C&D handicap 33 days ago. With his yard continuing amongst the winners, he could well be worth siding with to back that up from his revised mark. Galahad Quest with his hurdles return under his belt could emerge as the chief threat, ahead of Can You Call.
