Fire Flyer⁴³

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Harry Cobden| T: P F Nicholls

2/13

Well-bred gelding who showed useful form in bumpers and shaped with plenty of encouragement sent hurdling when runner-up to a smart prospect at Newbury (20.5f) in December. Sure to improve and will take all the beating.

Form: 17-22

Our Nobby³¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Charlie Hammond| T: P Gundry

150/1

Didn't offer much in pair of bumpers for Tom George during early 2022 and similar story in 2 hurdles for current yard this winter.

Form: 7P/0P

Thank You Ma'am³⁷

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: James Bowen| T: G Nicholls| OR: 111

9/2

Lightly-raced maiden who has acquitted himself well the last twice, latest when second of 11 in novice hurdle at Fontwell (17.7f, soft) 37 days ago. Likely to be in the mix again.

Form: 23-032

Zhang Fei⁵⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Liam Harrison| T: F O'Brien

10/1

Fair winner on Flat who has joined a yard enjoying a fine season. Worth a second look in the market on hurdles debut.

Form:

Basman Palace^t⁴²

Age: 4| Weight: 10-13| J: Sean Houlihan| T: C J Gray

150/1

Offered something to work on when fifth in bumper at Newton Abbot in July but rather gone backwards since, including in 2 hurdles in recent months.

Form: 55770

Hadley Park^t¹⁹³

Age: 4| Weight: 10-4| J: Paul O'Brien| T: Harry Derham

50/1

Fair but temperamental handicapper on the Flat for George Boughey. Offered little in a couple of hurdle outings for current yard last summer.

Form: 7P

Johannes²⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 10-4| J: Jack Tudor| T: D Pipe

22/1

Fair form when successful in 2m minor event on the Flat in France last spring but failed to land a blow starting out over hurdles for new connections at Exeter in November and was very disappointing (following a wind operation) at Taunton last month. Plenty to prove now.

Form: 60

Forecasts

Fire Flyer (2/13), Thank You Ma'am (9/2), Zhang Fei (10/1), Ugo Bingo (14/1), Johannes (22/1), Hadley Park (50/1), Bruce Gobbler (100/1), Basman Palace (150/1), Our Nobby (150/1)

FIRE FLYER made a promising start in this sphere at Newbury in December and has been found a good opportunity to open his account here. Thank You Ma'am looks the obvious danger on form, whilst fair Flat performer Zhang Fei warrants respect on his first crack over hurdles.
