Best effort over hurdles when fourth at Southwell on his handicap bow in April and matched that form on his chase debut when filling the same position at Chepstow (23.6f, heavy) in November. Poor efforts both starts since, though.

Quickly built up a good strike rate for this yard, going with plenty of zest when making all at Bangor (17.3f) in October. Jumping let him down (also taken on for lead) when fourth of 5 in handicap at Plumpton since but he's certainly no forlorn hope with yard going very well.

Veteran C&D winner who hit the ground running back from 9 months off when landing 5-runner Fakenham handicap in November and ran another solid race when runner-up to a far less exposed sort at Lingfield later that month. Can go well again from same mark.

C&D winner who proved better than ever after 14 months off when easily winning at Wincanton despite a typically erratic round of jumping. Better than margin of defeat suggests last 2 starts and not underestimated here/back down in trip with yard amongst the winners.

2m maiden hurdle winner who showed minor promise during first spell chasing last winter. Well backed with hurdles return behind him but undone by an early blunder when fourth back over fences at Lingfield (2m) in December. Blinkers refitted now.

Fair form in French bumpers for Nick Littmoden but yet to make a significant impact over hurdles, faring no better than on his return (following wind surgery) when well held eighth of 11 at Huntingdon (19.6f) 3 weeks ago. Tackles larger obstacles now.

Winless following 9 attempts over hurdles for Gillian Scott in Ireland and has shown nothing so far for current yard. Likely best watched now attentions switch to chasing.

Just modest form at best but did shape bit better than distance beaten suggests when fifth at Fontwell (17.7f) in December. Best effort to date came over this C&D but he does need to keep the errors at bay and still to prove himself on ground this testing.

Didn't show much in a couple of bumpers for Fergal O'Brien last term and a similar story over hurdles for new yard. Would need to see market support behind him now attentions switch to larger obstacles. Handicap debut.

Sole win came in handicap chase here (19.4f) in June 2021. Runner-up on 2 of his last 3 starts for present yard and faced a stiff task (9 lb out of weights) when pulled up at Leicester (15.9f) 3 weeks ago. This more suitable.

Modest in bumpers/little form over hurdles and no real encouragement to glean from chase exploits back in the spring, pushed along when unseating 3 out over 19.4f here in April. Starts out for new yard here.

Despite jumping left (often markedly so) BOSTON JOE shaped as if still in good form when third at Wincanton 3 weeks ago and, with this drop in trip rating a likely plus, he could be worth siding with to get back on track with forecast conditions holding no fears. Veteran C&D winner Templier and Gambie Tiep, both of whom return from short breaks, can emerge as the chief threats, with Ballymagee another to keep an eye on.
