After 19 months off (left Sam Thomas), shaped as if as good as ever when making the frame in handicap chases first 2 starts this season, albeit jumping none too fluently. However, ran poorly over hurdles last 2 outings, so needs to get back on track returned to chasing.

Regarde has taken well to chasing this season and is respected, with Pachacuti completing the shortlist.
