Nelson Criq¹⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 12-0| J: Philip Armson⁽³⁾| T: A King| OR: 103

11/8

8/1

Fair maiden hurdler/chaser for Patrice Quinton in France. First sign of promise for new yard when fifth of 12 in Hereford maiden 26 days ago, weakening only late on. Interesting back in a handicap.

Belatedly off the mark over timber at Perth (2½m) in September and backed that up with good second at Ludlow (3m) next time. However, needs to shrug off below-par runs last twice.

A fairly useful winner on Flat. Not so good over hurdles so far, sixth of 14 in handicap at Wincanton (15f, good to soft) 18 days ago. Back up in trip with a tongue strap refitted.

Forecasts

Out Of Focus (11/8), Borodale (10/3), Awesome Foursome (7/1), Ostrava Du Berlais (8/1), Crossbeau (17/2), Dancing Harry (9/1), The Midwife (16/1), Nelson Criq (18/1)

OSTRAVA DU BERLAIS has taken a few runs to find her feet for Venetia Williams but there were more encouraging signs last time and she's taken to build on that promise back in a handicap. Out of Focus has been placed in both handicaps and should be thereabouts, while Olly Murphy's Borodale retains potential as an unexposed sort.
