2/1
Fair Flat winner in Ireland who made a successful start over hurdles for Harry Derham in Market Rasen juvenile (heavy) last month. Should be more to come and a penalty is unlikely to prevent a bold bid.

Fairly useful Flat winner for Ralph Beckett. Has a tongue tie added now hurdling. Should be up to making his presence felt if taking to this new discipline.

Fairly useful AW Flat winner for Grant Tuer. Interesting recruit to hurdles for the Donald McCain team.

In good hands but just a poor maiden on the Flat so hardly strikes as an obvious one to make a successful start over hurdles.

Fair Flat winner for Peter Chapple-Hyam. One of 2 hurdle newcomers in this for the stable. Probably best watched.

150/1
Fairly useful handicapper at best on Flat (stays 12.5f) for Charlie Johnston but recent efforts have been disappointing. Remains to be seen whether a change of yard and switch to hurdles sparks a revival.

5/1
Fairly useful maiden on the Flat for Kevin Ryan. Stablemate of Baltic Voyage and like that one he's equipped with a first-time tongue tie for this hurdle debut. The betting should guide.

Fairly useful handicapper on Flat for Ed Dunlop. Joined a good stable for his hurdle career and made a promising start when second at Taunton 23 days ago. Can go one better now with improvement on the cards.

14/1
Fairly useful maiden on the Flat. Well beaten on C&D hurdle debut but offered more when 15 lengths second at Newbury 6 weeks later. Will need to step up on that form if he's to come out on top here, though.

Modest maiden on the Flat for Jonathan Portman. A watching brief is advised on this first attempt over hurdles.

Forecasts

Orchestra (5/4), Givemefive (2/1), Jumeirah King (5/1), Camarrate (9/1), Baltic Voyage (11/1), Djerbanni (12/1), Royal Deeside (14/1), Demilion (150/1), Chester Tonik (200/1), Ceilidh King (300/1), Sir Cilia (400/1), Snow Forecast (500/1)

Verdict

There was a lot to like about ORCHESTRA's hurdle debut second and, in receipt of 7 lb, he can prove just too strong for Market Rasen winner Givemefive. The betting will be interesting regards to hurdle newcomers such as Camarrate, Baltic Voyage and Djerbanni.
