Bagged his second hurdles success at Stratford in August. Below par on next 3 starts but step back in the right direction when fourth at Wincanton on Boxing Day. Drops in grade here having contested Class 2 events on his last 3 starts. One to consider.
Three-time C&D winner. Pulled up at Fontwell over Christmas but second at Stratford prior to that and claims if recapturing that sort of form.
Smart handicap chaser at his peak but well beaten all 4 starts in 2021. Not seen under Rules since, and returns over the smaller obstacles from a much-reduced mark. Multiple point winner, unseated rider last time (Apr 2023).
Bumper winner. Yet to score over hurdles but went close over 20.5f here in November. Shaped as if his stamina was stretched when 23 lengths second over 3m at Fakenham since but interesting connections are prepared to persevere over this trip and Harry Cobden takes the ride.
Dual winner for the Tizzard stable in 2022 and having slipped back to his last winning mark, returned to form to get off the mark for the season at Fontwell (25.8f, soft) on Boxing Day. 4 lb higher here but every chance he will be in the shake-up.
Successful at Newton Abbot and Wincanton in the autumn. Shaped as if still in form but didn't find much off the bridle when fifth of 7 at Doncaster (3m) last time.
Won 19.5f Huntingdon novice hurdle last March and got back on track after 4 months off when fourth of 7 in handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (23.1f, soft) in November. Needs to back it up.
Unreliable sort plodded into a modest fourth in a Hereford handicap hurdle (25.5f, good to soft) 37 days ago. Will need to better that effort to score for the first time in almost 3 years.
Course winner in 2019 but he ended last term with a couple of poor efforts and pulled up on Taunton reappearance last month. Has plenty to prove at present.
Maiden but did show he can be competitive from his mark here last spring. Much depends on whether he's primed after 9 months off.

Forecasts
Copshill Lad (5/2), Flemen's Tipple (5/1), Lanspark (11/2), Tango Boy (8/1), Much Too Dear (8/1), Hunting Percival (17/2), I'm A Starman (9/1), Just Sophie (10/1), Highway One O One (11/1), Oscarsman (11/1), Good News (14/1), Ben Lilly (25/1)
Plenty in with a squeak but the vote goes to MUCH TOO DEAR, who looked rusty but did enough by the end to show his ability remains at Kempton 10 weeks ago and now stepping back up in trip Laura Horsfall's 6-y-o is worth chancing to make a winning start to life in handicaps. Lanspark was a commanding winner at Fontwell on Boxing Day so he's put forward as the main threat, ahead of Copshill Lad, who went close at this track in November.
