Mixed bag since landing a 3-runner handicap chase at Fontwell early last season, seemingly unsuited by the drop in trip when sporting first-time cheekpieces (retained) at Wincanton (15.7f, heavy) recently. Down another 2 lb but likely to find one or two too good once again.

Runner-up in a point and made it third time lucky in bumpers at Fontwell last January. Failed to trouble the judge in 3 runs over hurdles (has undergone a wind op since latest start) but it would be no surprise were he to raise his game now switched to fences.

Maiden hurdler who came good at the fourth attempt over fences at Fontwell (17.8f, good to soft) last spring. Not at his best over the same C&D on Boxing Day but handicapper has shown mercy (now 4 lb lower) and he's one of the likelier candidates.

Long-standing maiden who wasn't at her best at Lingfield last month. Still, she continues to edge down the weights and, if the recent wind op and fitting of cheekpieces were to give her a lift, this 8-y-o would certainly have a chance.

Has only won once from 30 starts under Rules but back on track the last twice, finishing in the money in handicap chases at Lingfield and Fontwell. Trip/ground fine and should make his presence felt.

Poor/unreliable maiden hurdler who is probably best watched starting out over fences here.

Winner of just one of his 32 starts under Rules, namely a Market Rasen handicap chase back in July 2021. 4 lb 'wrong' at the weights and he's probably worth taking on.

Though rather disappointing on his handicap bow over hurdles here last time, DUHALLOW TOMMY has since undergone a wind operation and he could prove to be more of a force now switched to fences. The 6-y-o is marginally preferred to Hector Jaguen, who will be a serious threat if returning to the form he showed when scoring at Fontwell last term. Clondaw Robin is also entitled to have a say in the finish.
