Produced a promising first effort amidst inexperience when second of 6 in bumper at Chepstow (2m, heavy) in November. In top hands and he can be expected to build on that.

€85,000 son Kayf Tara gelding who has finished runner-up in similar events at Stratford (good) and Chepstow (heavy) in October. Likely to be thereabouts again.

£40,000 Ocovango gelding. Dam, ran once in bumper, half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (21f/2¾m winner) Dreamy Sweeney. Stable sent out a promising bumper winner at Doncaster last week so a market move for this one would be interesting.

Runner-up in a point but offered little in a Stratford bumper last March. Absent since.

Backed at long odds and hinted at ability on Doncaster debut last month. May do better.

Prominent in the betting on both starts but has run to only a modest level. Has presumably has been showing up well at home but can't make a case for on form.

Forecasts

King Of Tara (1/1), Jacobin (11/4), Mokoro (10/3), South Omo Zone (14/1), Gold For Alec (16/1), Bridgewalton (16/1), Suleiman Artist (25/1), Tailorman (80/1), Maryah Island (80/1), Billy Butcher (250/1), Massima Bella (250/1)

Verdict

There was plenty to like about JACOBIN's debut effort at Chepstow so he's preferred to dual runner-up King of Tara in a bumper which may develop into a straight fight between that pair unless the betting vibes are strong surrounding Dan Skelton newcomer Mokoro.
