Southern Contract Ltd. Handicap Chase

Didn't really take to chasing last season but made a successful return to hurdles in a first-time tongue tie (retained) at Lingfield (23f, soft) on reappearance. Well held at Chepstow since, however, and opposable back over fences. Cheekpieces on 1st time.

Scored at Plumpton in May and better for return when third there last month. Makes more appeal than most.

Brought the curtain down on last season's campaign with back-to-back wins in 23.6f handicaps at Chepstow on soft/good to soft. Reappearance third at Newton Abbot was decent but not so good next 2 starts. Claims if bouncing back.

Was building up a good record over fences but well held last 3 starts and off since (22 months). Has left Martin Smith.

Ran at least as well as he had done over hurdles on his second start chasing when third of 15 in handicap (9/1) at Lingfield (good to soft). Let down by jumping there since, however, so needs to bounce back in a change of headgear.

Winless for 3 years and has been beaten a long way in both starts this term. Tumbling down the weights at least.

Slow burner over hurdles but made a winning debut over fences in 21.6f handicap here before following up over C&D on Boxing Day, stamina looking very much his strong suit. Should make a bold bid for the hat-trick.

Ended losing run at Plumpton last winter but no promise in 3 runs this season.

Lost his form towards the end of last season and fared no better both starts this term, including back over hurdles on yard debut last month.
