Fair maiden on the Flat for Charlie Appleby at the start of 2023. Left form of his hurdle debut third well behind when landing a 2m Newbury juvenile (heavy) from the front just before Christmas. Should be more to come from him.

Modest form when mid-field in 2 bumpers in November and similar story when sixth of 7 on Sandown hurdling debut last month, not impressing with his jumping. A lot more will be needed to trouble Through The Ages.

Useful on Flat in Germany and from the family of top-class hurdler/chaser Melon. Disappointing on hurdle debut but did offer more when 9¾ lengths third of 6 at Hereford on Thursday. That form is only modest but he's still the obvious one to chase home the favourite.
