Won pair of 2½m Ffos Las handicap hurdles in a productive 2022/3 campaign. Very much one to consider back in this sphere following a couple of inauspicious displays over fences.

Defied a long absence when readily gettting off the mark in an Exeter novice in November. Backed that up when collared close home over this C&D next time and she's not without hope now handicapping, for all that this assignment demands improvement.

Exeter bumper winner who has shown fair form in a light hurdle career, hitting the crossbar switched to handicaps back at Exeter (18.5f) and Bangor (23f) the last twice. Has to enter calculations.

Fair on the Flat in France and appeared to improve for the fitting of cheekpieces when bolting up at Taunton (19f, good to soft) last weekend. Several of his main rivals seemingly underperformed on that occasion but he's still lightly-raced and is effectively just 4 lb higher here.

Placed in a bumper in France and has left his low-key hurdles debut behind since undergoing a wind op, finishing a close third upped to 2½m at Uttoxeter (heavy) recently. Mark for this handicap debut looks fair and bold show likely.

Consistent sort who was in the process of running his usual creditable race back from 4 months off when departing 2 out at Newton Abbot (21.6f, heavy) in October. However, his subsequent Exeter display was not so good.

Sole win came at Southwell in May 2022 and has made the frame on each completed outing since, excellent third of 9 in handicap at Chepstow (19.4f, soft) last time. Not without hope.

Cases can be made for the majority of these with INTIMATE shading preference ahead of facile Taunton winner Individualiste. The selection appears to be going the right way judged on his close third at Uttoxeter and there could be better to come now that he ventures down the handicap route. Bumpy Johnson is on a winning mark back in this sphere and is best of the rest.
