Four-time winner over fences during first half of last season and impressed with his strength at the finish in a well-run race to go in again over this C&D in November. Demanding 3m probably not his bag at Sandown last time and better showing anticipated.
Won 4 times over hurdles in 2021/22 and came good at the fifth time of asking over fences in handicap at Hereford last January. However, has failed to complete on 3 of his 4 subsequent starts and it's easy enough to look elsewhere.
Drew a blank over hurdles for current connections but was a winning chaser in France and made it 2-3 over fences on these shores when scoring in good style at Fakenham (21.2f, heavy) recently. 7 lb rise tolerable and will be the one to beat.
Back-to-back winner of handicap chases at Huntingdon last season but he was put in his place when down the field in the C&D race won by Huelgoat in November. Tongue strap applied.
Dual winner in handicap chases last season and arrives here having been far from discredited when fourth in veterans' company at Cheltenham (20.6f, good to soft). Now 3 lb lower but this 12-y-o looks vulnerable for a win purposes in any case.
Relatively low-mileage 11-y-o who was a good second at Kempton back from 14 months off last February. Signed that campaign off with a below-par effort at the same course but now 1 lb below last winning mark and he's dangerous to discount.
Capitalised on drop in grade when landing 9-runner handicap chase at Leicester last February. Largely below par since but latest C&D second represented a step back in the right direction and he's a key player off the same mark with cheekpieces refitted.

Forecasts
Georges Saint (2/1), Jacamar (10/3), Dibble Decker (11/2), Huelgoat (6/1), Iconic Muddle (17/2), Go Steady (11/1), Honneur D'Ajonc (14/1)
GEORGES SAINT is weighted to go well again and looks the one to beat. Having found 3m too much of a test at Sandown last month, Huelgoat is of strong interest back at the scene of his latest success in November. Jacamar and Iconic Muddle are not discounted.
