Well held in bumpers and has offered little sent hurdling this season, pulled up all 3 starts over timber. Step up in trip not enough to tempt.

Bred to stay well and, upped in trip on his third start in bumpers, got off the mark at Listowel (20f) in September. Had the benefit of an enterprising ride last time, but he's respected as he goes hurdling on first run for yard after leaving P. O'Rourke.

Last of 3 finishers on completed outing in Irish points and has failed to beat a rival both starts in novice hurdles. Goes up in distance but it remains easy enough to look elsewhere.

€5,500 3-y-o, £36,000 5-y-o, Sageburg gelding. Half-brother to 4 winners, including useful hurdler Knight Pass. Dam unraced half-sister to Grand National winner Monty's Pass. Irish point winner and he's one to note on Rules debut (has had a wind op).

Irish point winner who shaped like a stayer on her only start in bumpers. No better than mid-division in mares novice hurdles, left behind from early in straight when fifth of 7 at Wetherby (19.7f) on Boxing Day. However, she could yet do better upped to 3m.

Timeform
Winning Irish pointer who ran to a modest level in pair of bumpers just 5 days apart in December, fourth of 7 at Ayr 16 days ago. Can take a step forward as she goes significantly up in distance for her hurdles bow.

Forecasts

Verdict

Successful on his third outing in Irish points, MOVES LIKE MONTY makes plenty of appeal on paper as a half-brother to 4 winners from the family of the Grand National winner Monty's Pass. He can score on his first start over hurdles, with Irish bumper winner Chosen Templar feared most as he makes his stable/hurdles debut, ahead of Josie Alice.
