Simply Delicious Cakes Novices' Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Expensive purchase after winning a French juvenile in early 2021 but very sparingly seen on these shores and was pulled up in a pair of points since last seen under Rules. Very hard to fancy making chase debut.

Useful at his best over hurdles, as he demonstrated with a decisive success off a 6 lb higher mark than this at Uttoxeter last February. First form over fences when fourth at Chepstow last month but still a long way off his hurdles form. May do better still in this sphere.

Failed to go on from winning hurdles debut at Wetherby last term but encouraging start over fences when chasing home an exciting prospect at Market Rasen (21.4f, soft). Form boosted by the subsequent success of the third and he's of strong interest off 1 lb lower here with improvement likely.

Won back-to-back handicap hurdles at Carlisle and Cheltenham last term and shaped well to make the frame on her first 2 outings over fences. Full of running when falling 3 out at Cheltenham last time and she should be in the mix.

Easily won sole start in Irish points and dual winner over hurdles last winter. Better than result (went off hard) when fourth on chase debut at Carlisle and while she failed to build on that promise next time, she remains of interest. Hood applied.

Got off the mark in 21f maiden hurdle here in March 2022. Made a sound start over fences when runner-up in a Catterick handicap (19.2f, good to soft) later that year and he's interesting on return from 13-month absence.
