Picked up for £60,000 after getting off the mark in Irish points at the third attempt in April. Ran to a fair level on hurdling debut at Ascot (19.3f) 5 weeks ago, looking rather ungainly under pressure but perhaps still needing experience. That form is solid and he can improve.

Point winner who has looked rather hard work so far under Rules, running out on bumper debut and again proving wayward on return in 2m Chepstow novice hurdle, pressing leader after 3 out before hanging left. Has work to do up in trip back from breathing op.

Showed some promise on his debut in bumper but well beaten in Newbury sales race next time. Up in trip for hurdles debut back from 9 months off.

Has shown fairly useful form in 3 starts over hurdles at up to this trip, pulling clear of the rest when second in messy contest at Aintree but jumping none too fluently dropped to 2m in handicap at Sandown last time. Probably needs a couple to misfire if he's to come out on top.

Cost £240,000 after winning an Irish point and made a good start in bumpers for Michael Scudamore in autumn 2022, seeing things out really well when landing Newcastle contest. Had a wind op subsequently. Longer trip sure to suit now hurdling and likely to be ready to go for new yard. Key player.

Fairly useful hurdler who ran up to her best on her first outing since the spring/back with this trainer when just failing over extended 2m in maiden here 6 weeks ago. Unproven over this longer trip but can surely win a race in this sphere before long.

Forecasts

Peaky Boy (13/8), Innatendue (5/2), Magical King (7/2), Champagne Twist (5/1), Diamond Dealer (22/1), Glengolly (100/1)

Verdict

PEAKY BOY looked a good jumps prospect in bumpers last autumn and may have been found a good opening for his first go over hurdles for his new yard, with the stiffer test sure to suit. Innatendue, who went close over 2m here in November, will be the danger if staying this longer trip. Magical King is also in with a shout.
