Weatherbys & Birdie Calendars Handicap Hurdle

Had a fine season as a novice hurdler in 2020/21, winning 3 times. Exploits mixed over fences/hurdles following a lengthy absence last term but he is back on a good mark if wind surgery ahead of this reappearance helps to spark a revival. Interesting to see how he goes in the betting.

Irish point recruit who had a good first season over hurdles, winning 2 of his 4 starts, including on handicap debut at Ffos Las (2m) in April. Failed to fire in the Silver Trophy on his Chepstow reappearance but back on track when second to a well-treated sort at Lingfield (19.5f, good to soft).

Better than ever when returning from a 6-month break to double his hurdle tally in 21f Warwick handicap last month. Respectable fourth of 6 at Chepstow (3m, heavy) since.

Smart chaser for Jessica Harrington in 2021/22 and, on his first run after a wind op, showed more than previously for this yard when second in 2m course handicap (heavy) in November. Failed to back it up at Wincanton since, though.

A fairly useful hurdles/chase winner for Francois Nicolle in 2022 but no show in a handicap chase/hurdle for new yard this winter. Too soon to write off but has something to prove for now.

Hasn't stood much racing to date but returned from a break to make all over 2½m at Fakenham in November. Only denied at Leicester (2m) a week later but pulled up back at Fakenham 12 days ago. Bounce back needed.
