Most progressive over fences during 2020/21 season landing handicaps at Sandown/Doncaster (at around 2m) before an excellent third in Grand Annual at Cheltenham. Eighth in that season's Topham and whilst not seen since, it's worth noting he's overcome a lengthy absence in the past with victory.

Won 2 races over the National fences here during 2021/22, including the Topham (21f). Reportedly lame when pulled up over hurdles at Cheltenham when last seen 14 months ago and possible this run will be needed.

High-class chaser in his pomp who enhanced good record fresh when landing last season's C&D Old Roan Chase. Struggled to make an impact thereafter but he's now 6 lb below last winning mark and no surprise to see a bold showing back from 8 months off.

Ran a cracker when third in big-field Leopardstown handicap (21.2f) in February before struggling in competitive handicaps at Cheltenham/here during the spring. Failed to complete both starts this term but the assessor has given him a chance.

The time to catch RIDERS ONTHE STORM has often been when fresh and he's expected to make a bold bid back from 8 months off, now operating 6 lb below the mark he defied when landing last season's Old Roan Chase on his return. Ibleo, back from a mammoth absence, could well emerge as the chief danger for the red-hot Venetia Williams stable.
