€105,000 3-y-o, Kapgarde gelding. Beaten only a nose by a better-placed rival when second of 15 in bumper at Ayr (16f, good, 5/4) on NH debut 40 days ago. This is deeper but he's respected.

€150,000 3-y-o, Blue Bresil gelding. Dam (h79), point winner, half-sister to useful hurdler/smart chaser (stays 2¾m) American Mike out of useful staying chaser American Jennie. Has to be respected for yard with decent record in sphere.

€35,000 3-y-o, Bathyrhon gelding. Runner-up sole start in Irish points. Showed plenty when second of 15 in bumper at Cheltenham (16.4f, soft) on Rules debut 47 days ago. Sets a solid standard.

Jack Hobbs filly. Dam (c81/h108), maiden over hurdles/fences (stayed 23f), closely related to unreliable but useful hurdler/chaser (stayed 33f) Milansbar. Plenty of stamina in her pedigree and market check advised for top yard.

€45,000 3-y-o, Blue Bresil mare. Second of 13 in bumper at Wetherby (16f, soft, 4/1) on NH debut, going with enthusiasm. Merits plenty of respect after 8 months off.

Forecasts

Valgrand (7/4), Unsinkable Molly B (2/1), Junker D'allier (4/1), Les's Destiny Star (8/1), Juventus De Brion (16/1), Jacksbar (16/1)

Verdict

VALGRAND showed plenty of ability when runner-up at Cheltenham and he's fancied to go one better in this decent contest. Unsinkable Molly B and Junker d'Allier also filled the same position on their debuts and have to be respected, with preference between the pair for Jonjo O'Neill's mare.
