Dave Criddle Travel Handicap Chase

Off the mark in this sphere at Catterick on final start of 2021/22 and bagged first success over hurdles in a Uttoxeter handicap on New Year's Eve. Little impact next 2 starts but back to form returned to fences when excellent second at Chepstow on comeback, clear of rest. Needs considering.

Point/hurdles winner and positive start over fences, winning at Huntingdon and Worcester. Still in contention when falling 3 out at Uttoxeter next time but well held at Newbury since after 6 months off, possibly needing it.

Successful on first 3 starts back in 2018/19 but had a lengthy absence following that season. Opened his chase account at the third attempt in handicap at Market Rasen on Boxing Day 2021 but disappointed next time. Off again since (22 months).

Winning return at Fontwell in October and backed it up when fifth at Cheltenham next 2 starts. Others look better treated, though.

Capitalised on drop in grade in 9-runner handicap chase at Leicester in February but below par since.

Consistent sort who finally got off the mark under Rules at Chepstow in February and defied a 10 lb rise over same C&D following month. Too keen in pursuit of the hat-trick final start but high enough in weights now on return.

Bumper/hurdles winner in France in 2021. Bit disappointing over hurdles last season, but firmly back on track when making a successful return/chase debut over C&D (good to soft) and he's open to improvement as a chaser.
