Low-mileage 7-y-o who displayed fairly useful form over hurdles last term and improved to make a winning return/handicap chase debut at Chepstow (19.5f) in October, seeing off a resilient rival (pair clear). Underfoot conditions fine and big player with more to come.

Progressive over hurdles prior to a blip final start. Runner-up in an Irish point but low-key start to chasing career at Newbury on return. Should leave that form behind in due course.

Progressive when winning 3 handicap hurdles in Ireland for Declan Queally last season but well beaten in 2 starts for current yard, so plenty to prove back over fences.

Forecasts

The King Of Ryhope (7/4), Knowsley Road (5/2), Fine Casting (3/1), Lubeat Foras (8/1), Carbon King (14/1), Jack In The Box (33/1)

Verdict

THE KING OF RYHOPE jumped well when making a winning chase bow/reappearance at Chepstow 6 weeks ago and can defy a 7 lb rise with that form proving to be rock solid. Fine Casting did well over hurdles last season and is on a workable mark if taking to chasing at the first attempt on return, so is feared most.
