Sole win came in 2018 but he ran several good races in defeat last season and resumed with a pair of creditable in-frame efforts over C&D last month. Likely to give his running again.
Successful twice over hurdles at Plumpton (both at 25f) during second half of last season. Bit disappointing in a couple of chases in recent months and now reverts to hurdles in a bid to get back on track.
Useful hurdler/chaser in Ireland for Joseph O'Brien in 2020/21. Has been given a chance by the handicapper but hasn't obviously been shaping as if ready to take advantage. Could only consider if backed.
Much improved when racking up a hat-trick in April/May 2022 but not seen again until down the field at Warwick last month. Entitled to come on for that outing but can only really watch this time.
Successful on second of 2 starts in Irish points. Disappointing in bumper on Rules debut but proved a different proposition when making a winning start over hurdles at Hexham (2½m, heavy) in October. Well-held third at Aintree (2½m again) since but retains potential now handicapping at 3m.
In excellent form over fences in summer 2022 and has found only one too good on all 3 starts back hurdling on return, left with too much to do and shaping well over C&D latest. Might be the answer.
Dual winner on testing ground last season, including over C&D. Posted a respectable third of 6 in handicap hurdle at Chepstow (23.5f, soft) on return 6 weeks ago. 1 lb lower now and merits consideration.
Caused a 66/1 surprise when making his second hurdles start a winning one at Warwick (2m) last November. Hasn't been able to repeat that effort since but his mark has come down a long way as a result and 3m might suit him. Market support worth noting.
Lost his form towards the end of last season and fared no better on Hereford reappearance in October (final start for Tim Vaughan). Needs to have been revitalised by a change of scenery.

Forecasts
Jasmiwa (7/2), Balkardy (4/1), Always Busy (4/1), Minella Double (4/1), Ballymagroarty Boy (13/2), Front View (17/2), Crossing The Bar (12/1), Mourzouk (28/1), Galop Du Bosc (40/1)
BALKARDY shaped well from too far back when runner-up over C&D last time and can deservedly get his head back in front after a trio of seconds. Minella Double strikes as a likely improver now stepping up to 3m for his handicap debut and is second choice ahead of Jasmiwa.
