Winning pointer who showed fairly useful form over hurdles last season. Positive start to chasing and bumped into one at Aintree last time. Worth a chance to go one better back up in trip.

Looked a useful prospect in bumpers and, having failed to match that level over hurdles, got his career firmly back on track when running out a comfortable winner of a handicap at Hereford on chasing debut. More to come and looks a big player.

Clear when fell last sole start in Irish points and showed fair form over hurdles last season. Type to improve for the larger obstacles, so warrants close market observation back from 7 months off/wind op.

Improved for the switch to front-running tactics in handicaps hurdles for Dan Skelton during the spring, completing the hat-trick in determined fashion at Warwick (19f, good to soft) when last seen in May. 5 lb higher sent chasing for new yard, but will be a threat if he jumps proficiently.

Fair in bumpers and promising start over hurdles. Dropped out quickly when pulled up at Chepstow when last seen 8 months ago but bred to take to chasing on return.

General Officer (9/4), School Days Over (9/4), Joe Dadancer (9/4), Technology (15/2), William Of York (12/1), Go Fox (25/1)

Verdict

GENERAL OFFICER has impressed with his jumping in two chase outings so far this term and, having been second only to an impressive chasing debutant (who has run well since) at Aintree last time, he looks the most appealing here. School Days Over is an obvious threat after making a winning start in this sphere and ex-pointer Joe Dadancer should relish the larger obstacles.
