Coup De Coeur¹⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: B S Hughes| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 105

2/1

Fairly useful maiden hurdler/chaser in France. On the retreat when falling 3 out back from a 16-month absence for new yard at Wetherby but did at least step up on that when third in a C&D maiden last time.

Form: 4/682-F3

Flashy Dude¹²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-0| J: Sean Quinlan| T: J Candlish

100/1

Pulled up both starts between the flags and well held completed start over hurdles.

Form: PP/P-8

Jake Stevens¹⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Henry Brooke| T: P Neville

28/1

Failed to threaten both starts between the flags but was still in touch when falling 3 out in a C&D maiden 19 days ago.

Form: 555F

Judicial Review⁵³

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Charlotte Jones⁽³⁾| T: James Moffatt| CD

7/1

Went the wrong way in bumpers (fair form at best) and showed nothing on hurdling debut/reappearance at Hexham.

Form: 21480-7

Treaty Boy^h²⁴

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Ross Chapman| T: R Menzies

5/2

Placed both starts in Irish points and offered a bit to work on when seventh of 18 in a novice hurdle at Wetherby (19.7f, soft) on Rules debut 24 days ago. May do better.

Form: 32-7

Alanine²⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 10-7| J: Callum Bewley| T: J J Davies

66/1

Placed on first of 2 starts in points but showed only modest form at best on the Flat. Easily passed over.

Form: 35-

Forecasts

Recoup (10/11), Coup De Coeur (2/1), What A Johnny (2/1), Treaty Boy (5/2), Judicial Review (7/1), Jake Stevens (28/1), Alanine (66/1), Flashy Dude (100/1)

RECOUP looked a potentially useful novice in the making when edging out a subsequent winner on his Ludlow hurdle debut last month, so he's a straightforward choice to defy a penalty. What A Johnny and Coup de Coeur can battle it out for minor honours.
