Phillapa Sue^t²⁵

Age: 8| Weight: 11-10| J: Kielan Woods| T: D Killahena & G McPherson| OR: 106

3/1

First run since leaving Fergal O'Brien when bit below form fourth of 12 in handicap hurdle at Wincanton (21.4f, soft, 15/2) 25 days ago. Likely to strip fitter for that and is back down to an appealing mark, so worthy of consideration.

Form: 73366-4

9/1

Career best when winning 6-runner handicap hurdle (4/1) at Cartmel (22.1f, soft) 87 days ago, finding extra. Should give another good account.

Form: 545-231

Just Sophie¹³⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-8| J: James Davies| T: Noel Williams| OR: 104

14/1

Won a 19.5f Huntingdon novice hurdle in March but below that level when a well-held third in a couple of handicaps in the summer. First outing for 4 months.

Age: 5| Weight: 11-8| J: Benjamin Poste| T: T Symonds| OR: 104

10/3

Lightly-raced hurdler who took a step forward when third at Chepstow last time, closing all the way to the line. Should be suited by the step up in trip and looks the one to beat.

Form: 26423-3

Hillfinch¹⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: C Gethings| T: S Edmunds| OR: 98| C

4/1

Won mares handicap at Huntingdon in March and, while not at best on both subsequent outings, she should strip fitter for her reappearance. Not dismissed.

Form: 02127-5

Kentford Mallard¹⁷

Age: 10| Weight: 10-10| J: Daniel Sansom⁽³⁾| T: J W Mullins| OR: 92

12/1

Consistent mare who built on her Fontwell run when landing 7-runner handicap at Hereford in October. Fell 5 out there last time but should give her running if none the worse for that.

Form: 75-231F

Forecasts

Phillapa Sue (3/1), Gaye Legacy (10/3), Jersey Lady (10/3), Hillfinch (4/1), Sinndarella (9/1), Kentford Mallard (12/1), Just Sophie (14/1)

GAYE LEGACY looked ahead of her mark when a staying-on third at Chepstow last time and, with this longer trip likely to bring more out of her, she's fancied to get off the mark at the possible expense of last-time-out winner Sinndarella. Jersey Lady is also considered.
